Welcoming visitors since 1933, the Blowing Rock is North Carolina's oldest travel attraction. Visitors enjoy the beautiful short scenic walk with a garden waterfall, gardens, an observation tower and unique gift shops. The attraction is open daily from March through December and weekends in January and February, weather permitting.

The Blue Ridge Parkway, sometimes called "America's Favorite Drive", is the most visited unit of America's National Park System. A drive down the Parkway provides stunning, long range vistas and close-up looks at the natural and cultural history of the southern Appalachian mountains and the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is designed as a drive-awhile and stop-awhile experience, so please don't be in a hurry. Speed limit is 35-45 mph.

Located less than a mile from downtown Blowing Rock is the High Country's premier equestrian facility. The present day facility boasts 17 barns, a grandstand arena, a schooling arena, 45 campsite hook-ups with power and water, and access to 25 miles of trails in the beautiful Moses Cone Park. Trail rides to Moses Cone Manor and Bass Lake.
